Research and planning: Magazine cover (final touches)

The magazine masthead is made large so that it would be easily distinguishable for the target audience. The black and white colours of the masthead go with the three colour scheme of the magazine (red, black and white). The only extra colour used is the gold which is meant to represent to colour of the award given at the OSCARS and in this way I have stepped away from a stereotypical 3 colour scheme, but not so much that the magazine pushes to many boundaries and still maintains a conventional style.

The film captive can be easily portrayed as a thriller as the blood and red colour scheme used shows that some sort of violence is going to take place. Although the film CAPTIVE is mentioned the article is mainly about the actor within the film, much like the Total Film magazine analysed previously in the blog. As the article is about the actor at uses the new film he has been in to create the style of the magazine and the actor, clearly Rhys Wood will be in a thriller film as it is stated in the main heading, his profession is also given away as the suit implies he is a businessman of some sort.
